If you'd been at the January Improv Jam last Sunday, you would have realized that there are a whole lotta funny improv folks in Cowtown! Lots of folks from the Columbus improv community came out to play at Gresso's, and boy howdy, did they get their improv freak on! :) Mark, Diane, Scott, Matt, Dwight and Lorinda from See You Thursday came out to play, and it was a blast to play some crazy rounds of short form games. Carl and Ben stopped by to represent for Columbus' newest improv/sketch troupe Where's The Funny. Good work there, guys! Our befuddled English comedian friend Simon Dowd joined in the fun, but we're still not exactly sure he knows who Tiger Woods or how to explain exactly what a limerick is to us dumb Yanks! LOL Some of our improv students -- LouAnn from Faux Real, Carol and Kelly Gingery(Columbus' official Flick Chick for MIX 107.9 FM) -- jumped into the action and really had a great time. Our acting buddy Mary Jo just got back from a two-week Carribean cruise to join us. She even did improv on the BOAT...there's just no keeping that lady from improv! All in all, it was a stellar affair! Thanks to Eric and Lyn at Gresso's for having us there and all the crazy folks who came to play. You all RAWK, and we're happy to be playing with you all! We'll be continuing our monthly Improv Jams on the last Sunday of each month at Gresso's, so come on out, have a beer, and join in on all the improv grooviness!
